Flats to rent in Carnoustie

The seaside town of Carnoustie is wonderfully located for anybody who wishes for a quick and pleasant commute into the city of Dundee, without being based in the city itself. Other towns such as Broughty Ferry have been largely absorbed into the 'City of Discovery' but Carnoustie, sitting halfway between Dundee and the historical town of Arbroath further along the coast, is still a self-sufficient town with sufficient distance between itself and the creeping edge of suburbia.

One of the most famous aspects of Carnousite is its long-held association with the sport of golf, which has been played here since at least the 16th Century. Most famous of Carnoustie's three golf courses is the Championship course, on which international tournaments are often held including the Open Championship. Padraig Harrington dramatically won the Open on this notoriously challenging course in 2007. Emigrating golfers from Carnoustie are believed to have been influential in helping to popularise the sport in the United States of America, meaning that this small Angus town has had a considerable effect upon the wider world. When the Professional Golfers Association of America was founded in the early twentieth century, almost half of the members were from Carnoustie. Golfers looking for flats in Carnoustie will be moving into a home of sporting history!
