Newington is a historic and popular part of Edinburgh, located on the city's southern half, roughly 20 minutes’ walk from the centre of the city. The district neighbours Holyrood Park, Prestonfield, the Grange and the Meadows, making for one of the greenest areas of the city to rent in.

The affordable rents in Newington may be attractive to families and professionals, though most tend to look elsewhere in the city, towards Bruntsfield, Leith or Stockbridge.
