Parkhouse is an area located in the north of Glasgow, a little over two miles from the heart of the city and the River Clyde.
Traditionally regarded alongside Possilpark, with which it shares a train station, Parkhouse also has a variety of property available in its own right. The train station (Possilpark and Parkhouse Station) is on the Maryhill Line, which is a local route running from Glasgow Queen Street in the city of the centre out to Anniesland in the west. From Anniesland it is possible to board trains out to the towns around Glasgow or across to Edinburgh.
So travel into the centre of Glasgow and down to the districts in the south like New Gorbals, and also nearby residential Crossmyloof, is as simple as getting around Scotland from Parkhouse. You can also drive into town via Saracen Street or take one of the numerous buses that run through the district.
Ruchill Park in the area, as well as Cowlairs Park and Keppoch Park nearby, offer a lovely destination for families or active people. The Forth and Clyde runs past Possil Park, adding to its beauty and the general attractiveness of the area.
Those looking for alternative affordable areas to stay in Glasgow may want to consider switching their property search to the south, and districts like Crosshill.
