Property Description

Beautiful three bedroom City Centre apartment close to Strathclyde University. No HMO license. EMAIL enquiry only please.

Beautiful and very large three bedroom apartment in city centre close to Strathclyde University, George Square and the Glasgow Concert Halls. Located in a central position close to the best shops, bars and restaurants in the city centre, and in an extremely quiet street which overlooks Strathclyde University. The neighbourhood is safe and busy with a mixture of students, professionals and artistic residents.

The apartment is located on the upper ground floor elevated high from street level. The building has security entry and an elevator. A fine sand stoned facade is typical of the type of buildings found in 19th century Glasgow, typical of the tobacco merchants who reside there, and where the neighbourhood takes its name.

There are three large double bedrooms including a master bedroom with en-suite. Each bedroom is very large with high ceilings and contain chests of drawers plus wardrobes with hanging space. The master bedroom includes an en-suite shower room, and has great water pressure. All bedrooms look out the back of the building into a quiet courtyard so expect a peaceful night's sleep.

The living room is unquestionably the centrepiece of this great property. The room offers a large flat screen TV with Blue Ray DVD player. There is a round dining table for six persons. There is also a breakfast bar with two stools meaning lots of seating options. Above the living room is a small mezzanine area with one further double bed. We would not consider this a bedroom, but very handy for a guests staying over.

The kitchen is fully equipped and includes integrated appliances such as fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher. There is an additional independent fridge freezer given the size of the property and can more than accommodate all of your food and drink purchases.

The apartment includes gas central heating with immediate and unlimited hot water. There is a simple control panel to moderate temperature.

The Merchant City is a vibrant neighbourhood within the city centre and is home to a range of music venues, coffee shops, bars and the finest collection of local and international restaurants. The annual Merchant City Festival attracts a range of traders and performers and the streets are closed to allows pedestrians to roam around and soak up the atmosphere. Some of the Glasgow finest fashion houses are located within the neighbourhood including Armani, Mulberry, Ralph Lauren and Cruise.
