University of Abertay Accommodation
Despite its tag as a ‘modern university’, Abertay University has been around for a long time – being founded in 1888 as the Dundee College of Technology. It was known as an ‘industrial university’ for most of its history, but was fully born as the University of Abertay in 1994. It retains a focus on technology and computing today.
The main campus and student halls are located close to the University of Dundee’s, in the West End. As such the student property for both universities is located in a similar area – the Perth Road that runs through the West End is the centre of the student part of town, but some reside in the City Centre which is just a short walk away.
